MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE
Together, we stand for the economic advancement of women globally. Every mile provides an opportunity for viewers to get involved, give back, and support working women worldwide.
“don't judge someone
until you walk a mile
in their shoes”
In the past seven years, I have had the honor of capturing stories of human kindness across our globe. In all my humanitarian efforts, I have been most deeply moved by the stories of impoverished women fighting for a better life. Perhaps its my own feminine instinct or my career a female entrepreneur, but I see myself in each of their eyes.
Walking one mile with each of these women is such a simple act but provides an incredible avenue for empathy. It breaks down barriers between cultures and joins people together based on our commonalities. This is a walk of compassion, understanding, and generosity. After watching the story of each woman, viewers will be moved to get involved and empowered to help. Through storytelling and direct calls-to-action, my goal is to raise $1M for working women around the world.
As I embark on this extraordinary journey, I am asking for the support of 26 powerful and compassionate women to stand with me. By sponsoring a mile, you will produce one episode, help one woman in need, and stand for working woman globally.
Please join me for the walk of a lifetime...
BEGINNING JAN 2018
26 female leaders join together to become the producing team of our documentary series.
Each woman sponsors one mile of the journey (at $10k).
"Walk A Mile" is created in association with Driftseed.org, a US 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to education, awareness, and documentary storytelling to build a better world for women and girls. All donations are tax-deductible.
BEGINNING MARCH 2018
Our small film crew (Mallory and team) travels to 26 locations around the world to physically walk with 26 impoverished working women. Through photo, video, and written word, we capture the stories of everyday working life across the globe.
*Featured women are selected through local non-profit partners that support programs for empowerment,
economic advancement, or entrepreneurship.
BEGINNING NOV 2018
The "Walk A Mile" series is published for the world to watch. As a 26-episode video series and potential full-length feature documentary, we share the daily lives of women around the world and how economic freedom is the key to pulling their families out of poverty. We are currently in discussions with distribution partners.
BEGINNING NOV 2018
The "Walk A Mile" movement launches and empowering viewers to directly donate to charities around the world.
Every mile has a call-to-action that urges viewers to become involved.
Partnerships with corporate engagement programs, women's groups, and speaker series amplify our message.
Our goal is to raise $1M for working women worldwide.
The economic empowerment of women is most effective way to fight extreme poverty. Women work two-thirds of the world's working hours yet earn only 10% of the world income. Investing in women not only supports a population in need, but is also the key for longterm, sustainable change. Women reinvest 90% of their income into healthcare, nutrition, education, and wellbeing of their children and communities.
HOW TO HELP
Walk A Mile is made for women, by women.
Each episode is sponsored by a power woman donor. Collectively, these 26 compassionate female leaders produce our series and stand together to empowering women worldwide. Want to join our power woman team? Contact us!
